Funny thing about the name Ludgate; just before I started serious work on Parydissia, I was about to move house. I got that word stuck in my head and after a about a week of developing the location, in the real world, we found a suitable place on a farm called Lydgate. I didn't need much more sign than that. After being fed up with both city and suburban life, I'd joked about leaving it all and moving onto a farm with a horde of goats to make comics. At a herd of over 300 here, that's exactly what happened. The universe is a magical thing. I kept the name for the odd coincidence and the charmed fate it brought me. Unfortunately Parydissia's Ludgate is... less charming.
.
It wasn't the first coincidence of its kind either; my second job as a children's book illustrator many years ago was taken at the house I lived in prior. This residence was called 'Hurly Burly.' It so happened my to-be writer was making a rhyme-centric story called 'Curly Twirly'. She took this as a sign to hire me. Sadly, it has not yet been published.

Unfortunately I have been so sick all week. I only just got this page to you today. I don't even have a new incentive up yet! All things considered, no update next week. I need to get better, catch up and ensure the next few pages run smoothly with no week-long interruptions if possible.

See you on the 7th. Thanks so much for reading!
